  • The trip page — plan, rules, people, budget, notesDrift

The trip page — plan, rules, people, budget, notes

A trip has five tabs: Plan, Bookings, Rules, People and Notes and files. The trip menu has **Edit the trip, Booking level for this trip, Calendar, Harbor page and Helm to-dos, Leave the trip** and, for an organiser, Delete the trip.

Plan — the day-by-day plan, with The week and Walk through the trip. Every item says why it is where it is. Things to do if there's time sit under If there's time — not placed yet. Left to book lists what still needs booking, each with Do it or Dismiss. On a day with a drive, Look up stops on the way and **Look up the road rules (these use credits). Ask the trip** answers questions about the trip — for example "Which days do we need the car?" — and tapping a day card marks it as a car day.

Rules — Add a rule in your own words ("The rental car days have to be in a row"). Drift keeps your sentence beside what it understood. Why this trip is shaped this way and Decisions explain the plan.

People — press Invite, pick how they join (They join as), then Send invitations, or Copy an invite link (one use; copying sends nothing). An invitation can be cancelled in its first minutes. The invited person opens the link and presses Join the trip or Decline. Take off removes someone; Leave takes you off. Votes on rules show here too.

Bookings — Still missing, Tasks, the trip's reservations, Find this trip's bookings in your email, and the Budget, with Committed — booked and Estimated — not booked yet kept apart. Set a limit, **Change the limit or Accept this budget**.

Notes and files — Before you go, your notes and files, destination guides, what Merc and Helm hold for the trip, and reminders.

Readiness is shown as states with reasons — ready, needs your choice, waiting on someone, unverified — never as a percentage.

  • Your travel profile and membershipsDrift

    Your travel profile and memberships

Your travel profile (Settings → Travel profile) holds your airline, hotel, car rental and lounge programmes, trusted traveller programmes (TSA PreCheck, Global Entry, NEXUS, CLEAR) and the cards you travel with.

Find my memberships in my email reads your connected mail for programme statements and welcome emails and shows what it found. Confirm what is yours, mark anything that isn't as Not mine, and only what you confirm is saved.

Why is my number hidden? Every number is sealed and shown as its last four digits. Reveal shows it to you — only you can see your own profile.

Cards are kept by their name only. Drift never keeps a card's number, and refuses one if it is typed.

Still to fill in asks only about what Drift didn't find. Skip a question and it isn't asked again.

  • Today, reminders and notificationsDrift

    Today, reminders and notifications

Today. On the eve of a trip and while you're on it, the trip has a Today button. It shows Next, **Later today, Mark done or Not done, Remind me at …, a rewards tip and Ask. Pick another day with Which day**. Before the trip starts it shows how the day will look. On a flight day it shows when to leave, and a lounge visit if one fits.

Reminders for a trip are under its Notes and files tab (Reminders, Reminder delivery).

Notifications — Settings › Notifications: choose What you hear about and Everything else Drift sends. On your lock screen with private previews shows only "Something needs you". Send me a test alert checks phone alerts. Quiet hours are set on your Memriq account.

Phone alerts come in five kinds: trip times, codes a booking needs, replies and approvals, surprises, and prices and rewards.

  • Things you have to be at, and the Still missing listDrift

Things you have to be at, and the Still missing list

Adding something you have to be at. On the trip, press Add something I have to be at and give its name, day, time and place — or paste an invitation or a wedding website's schedule and Drift reads the times out of it for you to check. Each one is shown with a lock: Drift never moves it.

What happens to the plan? Anything Drift places on its own that would overlap one of these goes to another day. If you pinned something to that time yourself, Drift keeps it where you put it and tells you the two overlap.

The Still missing list shows what the trip doesn't have yet:

    • a night with nowhere to stay — attach one of your hotel bookings, or say where you're staying; • no way between two places — from the airport to where you're staying, or to something you have to be at; • something you have to be at with no address — add it so directions work; • two things at the same time; • a flight whose check-in is open.

Filling a gap adds it to the trip. Saying it isn't needed removes it from the list for good.

  • Starting a trip from one sentenceDrift

Starting a trip from one sentence

Press + New trip on Trips, or use the Start a trip box on Up next ("Where are you going?"). Type the trip in one sentence — where, when, who with and what you want, for example *"Paris with Lindsay in May — the Louvre, and a good dinner one night"* — and press Start the trip. It says Making it… while it works.

Drift makes the trip from your words and shows Here's the trip: Name, Where, When and Who, each with Change. Below are What you asked for and What Drift will do, in this order. Anything you said that is a rule ("the car days have to be in a row", "keep Sunday free") is kept as a rule, with your own sentence beside it.

Press the Start button to begin Epona's first step, or Walk through the trip. Say it differently takes you back to your sentence and removes the trip it just made, so nothing is left behind.

You don't need dates or people to start — "Everything else can wait." Trips without dates are listed under **No dates yet, and the week view appears once the trip has dates (Edit the trip** to add them).

  • Settings, your data, and deleting your accountDrift

Settings, your data, and deleting your account

Open the account menu (your initial, top right) for Settings, Appearance, What Epona may do, Plan & usage, Memriq account and Sign out.

    • Appearance — theme, light or dark (Match my device, Light, Dark, Follow the sun) and density. • What Epona knows about you — correct or remove anything you told her or she noticed. A one-trip exception is kept to that trip only. • Household — who shares cards and points with you, and what each sees. • What Epona answers for you — switch each kind of errand on or off, for you alone. • Plan & usage — your plan, the monthly allowance and top-ups. • Privacy and your data — Download my Drift data, or Delete my Drift data (type "delete" to confirm). A paid plan must be cancelled on Plan & usage first. A trip you alone organise is deleted for everyone on it.

Signing in is with Google (Continue with Google) or with email and password. If Drift isn't open to you yet, join the waiting list; an invite is used by signing in with the address it was sent to.

  • Rewards — which card to use, and your programmesDrift

Rewards — which card to use, and your programmes

The Rewards tab tells you which card and programme to use, when, and why, for the trips you have. Its sections are Which card should I use?, For your trips, Your climb, All your programmes, What Drift tracks for you and Where this comes from. Connect Gmail or Outlook there so Drift can find programme statements, or press **Connect AwardWallet (later Update from AwardWallet**) to bring in balances. Where AwardWallet isn't available yet, the page says so.

  • The phone app and what works offlineDrift

The phone app and what works offline

The Drift phone app has five tabs: Home (the web's Up next), Trips, Reservations, Rewards and Settings. Links from Drift's emails open the same place in the app. You can share a confirmation into Drift from your phone's share sheet. On a phone, help is in the account menu (Contact support).

Offline. Settings › Offline on this device shows which trips are saved and when. Without signal, Drift shows Saved on this device: the plan, confirmations, addresses, contacts and saved tickets. You can Mark done, add a note (Keep it) and open saved files. Your changes wait under Waiting to be sent when you're back online. Nothing is booked, changed or cancelled while offline. A ticket that isn't saved yet needs the trip opened once with signal.

  • What you like, and lounge visits on flight daysDrift

What you like, and lounge visits on flight days

In What I like when I travel, say it in your own words — "I like going to Sky Club", "I like to be at the airport two hours early". Drift keeps your words and shows what it understood beside them.

Lounges. For each flight, Drift can look up the lounges at the departure airport: where each is, its hours, and whether you can get in and why — from the memberships and cards in your profile and the airline you're flying. Every fact links the page it came from and the date it was checked. Treat them as research to check; Drift cannot guarantee entry.

The planned visit. If you like lounge visits and can get in, Drift puts a visit into the flight day — which lounge, when to arrive and how long — and the time to be at the airport moves earlier. If a visit can't fit (the lounge's hours, an entry window, too little time) Drift doesn't plan it and says why. Skip removes it for that trip.

Drift never buys a day pass.

  • Making a gift for someone on the tripDrift

Making a gift for someone on the trip

Open a plan item's details and press Make this a gift. Choose who it's for (From you, for), the occasion, the wrapping, When it's revealed, and an optional guessing game with clues you approve. Under Afterwards you can keep a keepsake card on the trip and note the gift in Bond. Then press Wrap it.

A gift needs someone else on the trip — invite them first. As the giver you can Peek, change Gift settings, or Reveal it early. The person gets a link; they tap the box to open it, with no sign-in needed. Before the set time it says it isn't time to open it yet.

  • Epona and what she may doDrift

Epona and what she may do

Epona is Drift's agent. She compares options, fills in booking forms, watches prices and flights, reads forwarded confirmations, and asks you before anything that needs your OK.

What she is doing: press the Agent pill (on a phone, the ✦ button). The page shows Needs your OK, **Doing now, Watching, Waiting on others, Could not finish and Done recently**. A job she is running says "Epona is on it". Work in Done recently can be undone for 7 days, and a running job can be stopped.

How far she may go — Settings › What Epona may do (also in the account menu). Four levels:

    1. Compare — she finds and compares; you book it yourself. This is where you start. 2. Prepare — she fills it in and stops before paying. 3. Book after I approve each one. 4. Book within my limits — needs a budget for the trip.

Levels 2 and 3 ask you to confirm "I understand". One trip can have its own level (trip menu › **Booking level for this trip**). Sending replies and changing or cancelling bookings have their own levels on the same page.

Never, at any level: Drift keeping your card, acting beyond your level or the trip's budget, or typing a card number or paying anything itself — a booking is paid with the card you saved at the company you book with.

  • Comparing options, waiting on a reply, changing or cancellingDrift

Comparing options, waiting on a reply, changing or cancelling

Comparing. On something still to book, press Compare options (later Compare again). Each option shows where it came from, and Drift marks one as Drift's pick with its reason. Press Not for us, then Pass on it, to drop one — Drift remembers why. Fill it in on <site> has Epona fill in the company's page in your browser; Stop filling it in stops her.

Approving a booking. When Epona is ready she shows Ready to finish on <site> — press Book it or Not now. Take my yes back withdraws your approval before she books. Before you pay lists your cards in the order Drift suggests.

Waiting on a reply. On a booking, choose Wait on someone before booking (or Wait and watch the price). The Waiting on list shows each one. For a reply, press Approve and send, or Open in Gmail and then I sent it. Look in my email now checks for their answer, Save the reply keeps it, and Stop waiting ends it. No card number ever goes in an email.

Changing or cancelling. Open the reservation, then ⋯ › Change or cancel. Drift shows What you can do and fills in the company's form, but sends nothing until you press Send it (or Not now). Press It's done if you finished it yourself. A request shows "Sent — the company hasn't confirmed" until the company confirms; **Check again with the company** reads their page and never sends it again.

  • Finding trips in your email and calendarDrift

Finding trips in your email and calendar

Drift can look through the email and calendar you connected and show you the trips it finds. On Trips, New trip or Up next, press Find it in my email and calendar. Drift shows each flight, stay, rental car and event it found, with the line it came from. Nothing is added until you accept it — tick what belongs, leave out what doesn't.

Connecting your email and calendar. Go to Settings › Accounts and connections and press Connect email (Gmail connects through Memriq's Harbor, on that same screen — you never leave Drift). Calendar connects and disconnects on the same page. Drift reads only what you connected yourself, only for travel, and changes nothing there. It never reads anyone else's email.

Not connected? You can still start a trip from a sentence, forward a confirmation, paste one or type it in.

  • Adding a reservation — forward, find, paste or typeDrift

Adding a reservation — forward, find, paste or type

Open Reservations and press Add a reservation. There are five ways in:

    1. Forward it to Drift. You have your own Drift forwarding address, shown on that card with Copy. Forward any confirmation — a flight, a place to stay, a car or an activity — from any inbox. It appears in your reservations with each detail beside the line of the email it came from. Mail forwarded from an address that isn't one of yours is held until you accept it. 2. Find them in my email. Connect email and calendar, then press Read now, or switch on **Look for new confirmations** so Drift checks on its own. 3. Paste it. Paste the confirmation's text and Drift reads it. 4. Type it in, then Add by hand. 5. Book something — Train, Hotel, Restaurant or Car — and tell Epona what to book.

If Drift reads a message and finds no booking in it, or you already have that reservation, nothing is added and nothing is charged, and the reason is shown beside it. Where the forwarding address has not been set up, the card says "Forwarding isn't connected yet" and you can still add bookings by hand.

On the phone: share a confirmation's text, link, PDF or screenshot into Drift from the share sheet. Pick the trip, or let Drift use the trip whose dates it falls in.

The Reservations list. Filter with Coming up, Needs you, Not on a trip and Past. Open a reservation for its status, dates, confirmation, travellers, refund terms, cost and phone. Its ⋯ menu has **Move to another trip, Change or cancel, Watch it, and Delete from Drift**.
